So I've discovered that there is a definite difference between people who read science fiction and people who do not. These differences lie in the imagination and in the ability to accept the farther-out ideas in the realm of not-quite-possibilities (-but-we're-considering-them-anyway-just-because). These aren't the only things, but it's just something I've noticed. And maybe it's just me and my friends; I don't know. And I'm not saying that people who don't read science fiction have no imagination or anything like that because broad generalizations as such are so regularly false I daren't make them. But with two of my best friends, neither of whom read science fiction, it seems as though they have this particular... imaginative block that stops them from seeing an entire range of possible paths. Not that I always see those paths either, but that's beside the point. Plus, they actually have to question the reality of my completely bizarro stories that have no point at all and are merely for entertainment value because they're not physically possible by the laws of physics and et cetera that we've come to understand! But it's science fiction! It doesn't have to make sense! Haha. Maybe I'm just crazy. That's probably far more likely, haha. Whatever. But still! Watch your science-fiction-reading and non-sci-fi reading friends and see if there's any consistent differences. If all of your friends do or don't, you might have a problem. Sorry. (=

That's what I get for not using it, huh? Ah well.
I still have no prom date. But it's okay. I'll (hopefully) have one by the end of next Monday... If not the guy I actually WANT to ask, theeeeen someone else. Speech meet. It'll work. Hopefully. There's got to be SOMEBODY that'd be okay with a blind date, right?
The thing is, (the guy I want to ask)'s prom is the same day as mine. So if he wants to go to his, then we're kinda screwed, because I REALLY want to go to mine. My best friends are at mine, and... yeah... I just REALLY want to be there with them... So we'll see. And I'ma ask him anyway, and if it comes to a "well, mine's the same day and I have a date already" I'ma just say I forgot. haha... oi... Oh well. I'll find a date. It'll happen. (At least that's what I tell myself.)
Aaaaaaand... yeah... that's about it.
Until next time,
